Andersen is looking for an iOS Developer for a project with a mobile-only bank in the Middle East. The role involves developing new app features as part of the bank’s ongoing digital transformation.

The customer is a leading mobile-only financial services provider in the Middle East, focused on delivering a modern, convenient, and fully digital banking experience. Since its launch in 2019, it has rapidly expanded its user base, attracting tens of thousands of customers with its fast and intuitive mobile app. The organization has earned multiple international awards for excellence in digital banking, user experience, and innovation.

The project is part of a broader digital transformation roadmap that includes cloud-native performance optimization, potential migration to a custom core, core banking modernization, credit product enhancements, and cross-regional rollouts.

Working schedule is Sunday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

• Crafting native mobile features for new modules (e.g., credit cards, trading, savings), optimized for performance and responsiveness.
• Implementing secure cloud integration: efficient API consumption, background tasks, mobile caching strategies.
• Collaborating in cross-functional squads to deliver cross-regional feature parity, managing environment-specific logic.
• Coordinating with backend to support core-banking transitions, ensuring minimal disruption in mobile UX.
• Translating performance feedback (e.g. API latency) into mobile-side optimizations and seamless error handling.

Must-haves:

• Experience with Swift and Objective-C for 2+ years.
• Solid Git experience with an understanding of branching strategies.
• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Proficiency in integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for sprint management.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Familiarity with Backbase.
• Backend understanding.
