Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and talented MEP Drafter to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will assist in creating high-quality technical drawings and designs, supporting our MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems projects. This role involves office-based work with occasional travel to project sites as required.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed layouts, riser diagrams, and MEP drawings.
• Conduct clash management and prepare coordination layouts.
• Develop detailed sections, elevations, and other technical drawings.
• Maintain project drawing records and revisions.
• Build and updаtеa database of CAD blocks and general layouts.
• Generate CAD drawings for MEP systems and schematics under the guidance of the Project Lead MEP Designer.
• Assist with preparing schedules, quantities, and related documents in Excel or Word.
• Perform quantity take-offs from design drawings.
• Review design documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Occasionally visit project sites to prepare as-built drawings.
• Support the project manager with site-related technical issues.
Qualifications:
• A degree in architectural or engineering science, or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience as a drafter in the construction or engineering sector.
• Familiarity with MEP systems and basic knowledge of related regulations and processes.
• Proficiency in drafting programs like AutoCAD (AutoCAD MEP experience preferred) and Revit (an advantage).
• Basic understanding of engineering calculations (an advantage).
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively.
