Omega is a FinTech start-up working on an innovative B2B proposition, which allows international tech entrepreneurs to access digital multi-currency banking-like features and corporate services in one place in order to easily run and quickly scale their business in the UK. We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the high quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. The primary responsibilities of this role include end-to-end test writing, detecting, documenting, and tracking defects, as well as conducting automated testing of web and mobile applications (API backend & frontend).

Responsibilities:

• Conduct automated testing of web applications, mobile applications (API backend & frontend) to ensure their functionality and performance meet the desired standards.
• Detect, document, and track defects in the web and mobile applications.
• Perform manual functional and integration testing to identify and address any issues or bugs.
• Collaborate effectively with development, analytics, and engineering departments to ensure seamless communication and understanding of project requirements.
• Participate in the analysis of system function requirements to devise effective testing strategies.
• Prepare and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and checklists, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Continuously monitor and improve the quality assurance processes to enhance overall product quality.

Requirements:

• Proficient knowledge of Python and demonstrated experience in writing automated tests.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a software tester, QC/QA engineer, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of testing methods and techniques to design effective test scenarios.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes to ensure effective collaboration with development teams.
• Comprehension of web service principles to facilitate testing of APIs and web applications.
• Experience in creating testing documentation, such as test plans, test cases, and checklists, to maintain comprehensive testing records.
• Working knowledge of developer console in web browsers to assist in debugging and testing.
• Hands-on experience in testing web applications, including backend (API), frontend, and mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with version control systems to manage code changes and maintain version history.
• Experience with bug tracking systems such as Jira, Youtrack, or similar tools to effectively report and track issues throughout the testing process.
