We are looking for a Unity Team Lead to take full ownership of the development for our large-scale mobile RPG. This senior leadership role will oversee the entire client engineering team across multiple locations, ensuring the game’s technical foundation is scalable, high-performing, and future-proof.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in Unity development, strong leadership skills, and experience managing multinational and distributed teams in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the entire client development team, setting technical direction and best practices across multiple locations.

• Architect and maintain a scalable, modular, and high-performance game client.

• Oversee the development of core utility systems, including rendering, networking, asset streaming, performance optimization, and framework components.

• Collaborate with gameplay, UI, Art and backend teams to ensure seamless system integration.

• Ensure the client-side infrastructure supports live operations, scalability, and cross-platform functionality.

• Drive technical innovation and adopt industry-leading tools and methodologies.

• Build team and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performance development culture across a distributed team.

• Work closely with producers and other stakeholders to align technical development with project goals.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in game development, including 5+ years in a senior or lead engineering role within mid-to-large scale game productions.

• Expert-level proficiency in Unity (C#) with hands-on experience designing and maintaining complex, large-scale game architectures.

• Proven success in building, leading, and scaling distributed engineering teams (15+ members) across multiple time zones or studio locations.

• In-depth understanding of multiplayer systems, asset streaming, memory management, and performance optimization for mobile platforms.

• Experience working with backend services, APIs, and multiplayer frameworks.

• Deep understanding of networking, live operations, and cross-platform development.

• Strong debugging, profiling, and optimization skills for Unity-based mobile titles.

• Proficiency in Russian and English — both written and spoken.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills, with a track record of effective collaboration across engineering, art, and production teams.

• Demonstrated ability to drive technical direction, set clear objectives, and ensure accountability across teams.
