Database Administrator(Databricks)

Nitka Technologies develops software for customers in the US and Europe and brings together about 300 professionals from Eastern Europe, North and South America, Armenia, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

We are looking for an experienced Databricks Administrator for a long-term project. The customer is a company in California, an industry leader in the sale of tickets to events in Europe and the USA.

We offer 100% remote, full-time work with.

Requirements:

• Experience in implementation, integration or technical support;
• Basic user-level experience with Linux;
• Confident SQL skills;
• Any scripting language (Python, Perl, etc.) or programming language (Java, C++, C#, etc.) - sufficient for writing small scripts or applications (developer-level experience is not required);
• Experience working with databases in an IDE; strong plus if used from within scripts or programs;
• Understanding of networking principles (addressing, routing, firewalls) - for diagnosing network-related issues in business logic;
• Familiarity with data formats - DSV, JSON, XML, or others (strong plus if you’ve configured/developed parsers or debugged parsing errors);
• Spoken English at Intermediate level or higher;

Would be a plus:

• Understanding of Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive);
• Familiarity with REST API;
• Experience building ETL processes using any technology (Talend, Informatica PC, SAP BO, SSIS, IBM DataStage, CloverDX, JavaETL, Apache NiFi, WeDo RAID);
• Experience working as a business analyst;

Working conditions:

• Remote work;
• Full-time (8 hours/day);
• Working hours: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM PST;
