The IT company Andersen invites an experienced person to fill the position of DevOps Engineer (AWS) to work on a large-scale project for the UAE customer.

The customer is a leading mobile commerce company dedicated to connecting people to digital experiences through meaningful partnerships. With its businesses the company provides access to over 1.5 billion consumers through more than 85 mobile operators across 75 countries. It specializes in digital content solutions and payment processing services, aiming to offer seamless digital experiences and transactions.

The project is an application designed for use by operators. Within this project, the DevOps Engineer plays a key role in defining, testing, implementing, and monitoring DevOps processes.

Responsibilities:

• Working with cloud engineering teams and development teams to create effective CI/CD implementations.
• Proactively monitoring and fixing issues in the development life cycle.
• Supporting the Senior Software/System Engineers to Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g. IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers).
• Ensuring compliance with IT Security standards and industry best practices.
• Helping with the release management of new software into the production platform.
• Troubleshooting security related issues and assisting Incident Management inside the organization.
• Implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensuring continuous availability of various tools supporting SCM & Release Management including Source Control, Continuous Integration, Change Management.
• Engaging with cross-functional teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features.
• Migrating existing Data Center infrastructure.
• Ensuring the availability and performance of the platforms for our customers.
• Service support using DevOps, Continuous Delivery, and ITIL concepts for effective operations.
• Participating in on-call rotation.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer for 3+ years.
• Expertise in AWS, with solid experience in networking, IAM (policy management, SCPs, RBAC), and AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• Hands-on experience with at least one additional cloud platform (Azure or GCP).
• Strong background in cloud security architecture and centralized authentication (SSO, Active Directory integration).
• Proficient in automating end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and Git.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, especially with AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS).
• Deep expertise in ElasticSearch or AWS OpenSearch.
• Skilled in monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, and OpenSearch.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming (TypeScript, Java, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and N-tier web application development, including Java/Spring.
• Strong Linux OS experience.
• Agile development environment experience.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• AWS certifications are highly desired.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CISA, OSCP).
