Andersen is hiring a Full Stack Developer (Java+TypeScript) for a European project. The role focuses on developing a flexible platform for ticket sales and fleet management in the ferry transport sector.

The customer is a tech-driven European company specializing in custom software for ferry operators, with development hubs in Germany and Spain. Backed by an established international transport group, it leverages deep industry knowledge and modern development practices to build scalable, customized platforms. With agile teams and a DevOps culture, the customer ensures fast, stable, and scalable software that enhances operational efficiency and passenger experience.

The project is a comprehensive platform for ticket sales and fleet management, built with support for remote operations, white-label solutions, and POS integrations. It is designed to streamline transportation operations by providing a flexible and customizable system for service providers.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing and supporting software for the transport and travel industry with a vertical focus on both backend and frontend stacks.

• Acquiring a deep understanding of existing system functionality and user needs to ensure successful delivery of new features.

• Taking responsibility and ownership of the full development cycle including architectural design and testing.

• Collaborating effectively within a small, high-performing Agile team, contributing to a “You build it, you run it” culture with a hands-on approach.

• Mentoring junior developers and supporting their rapid onboarding and professional growth.

Must-haves:

• Commercial experience in software development for 3+ years.

• Proven experience in server-side development using Java with a solid foundation in object-oriented analysis and design.

• Proven experience in client-side web development using Typescript.

• Experience working with relational databases.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Degree in computer science or equivalent.

• Angular and/or Vue.js experience.

• Experience in Spring framework and Spring Boot, microservice architectures and REST API design.

• Experience working with MySQL.

• Experience with Terraform.
