The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Fullstack Developer (Python/React) to join its team for working with our customer from the UK.

The customer provides fractional CTO services with over 25 years of experience and has worked with major companies like Nintendo, Tesco, and ASDA, helping them scale products, teams, and performance through strategic guidance and technical expertise.

The project involves maintaining and developing a microsite builder for large enterprise clients using Kanban methodology, with a small team responsible for infrastructure, security, and compliance, supported by a fractional CTO.

Responsibilities:

• Managing security and compliance tasks, including internal and external audits (e.g., SOC2) and security questionnaires for prospects/clients.
• Developing and maintaining application infrastructure, ensuring everything from pipelines to monitoring is operational.
• Making autonomous decisions regarding application development and security, with support from the fractional CTO.
• Handling all aspects of infrastructure, from basic operations to advanced monitoring.

Must-haves:

• Experience as a Fullstack Developer for 5+ years.
• Proficiency in Python programming, including writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Experience with the Pyramid framework for building web applications.
• Knowledge of Celery for managing asynchronous tasks and background job processing.
• Familiarity with Boto3 for interacting with AWS services programmatically.
• Skills in designing, querying, and optimizing MySQL databases.
• Experience with Elasticsearch for search and analytics engine capabilities.
• Understanding of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) for single sign-on (SSO) integrations.
• Proficiency in using SQLAlchemy for ORM (Object-Relational Mapping) in Python.
• Knowledge of Firebase for backend services like real-time databases and authentication.
• Strong skills in JavaScript for dynamic web development.
• Experience with React for building user interfaces.
• Experience with Docker for containerization and Docker-Compose for defining multi-container applications.
• Skills in configuring and managing NGINX as a web server and reverse proxy.
• Experience with Celery and CeleryBeat for task scheduling.
• Familiarity with Memcache for caching data (like Redis).
• Skills in deploying and managing applications using AWS ElasticBeanstalk.
• Knowledge of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and AWS Secrets Manager and Key Management Service (KMS).
• Experience with AWS services like S3 for storage, RDS for relational databases, Elasticache for caching, and ECS for container orchestration.
• Skills in using CloudWatch for monitoring and CloudTrail for logging and auditing.
• Experience with AWS Lambda for serverless computing.
• Proficiency in using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with legacy technologies like BackboneJS and Mako templates
• Knowledge of LESS for CSS preprocessing.
• Experience with Webpack for module bundling.
• Skills in using VideoJS for video playback.
• Proficiency in using Karma and Jasmine for unit testing.

• Knowledge of Pingdom for monitoring website uptime.
• Experience with Netlify for deploying and hosting web applications.
• Familiarity with Velt and Keen.io for data analytics.
• Knowledge of Rippling for employee management and HR tasks.
• Experience with Avanan for email data loss prevention.
• Skills in using Postmark for transactional email delivery.
