Andersen is hiring a Lead Backend Developer (.NET) to design and build API integrations for an insurance claims platform, ensuring reliable data exchange, scalable architecture, and seamless claims processing.

The customer is a large international organization operating in the insurance and risk protection domain, providing a wide range of services for both individual and corporate clients. The customer has a strong global presence, delivers diversified insurance solutions across multiple lines of business, and is known for its mature operational model, financial stability, and well-established expertise in service delivery and claims management.

The project is focused on integrating an external claim management system with an internal insurance platform. It involves designing the integration architecture and implementing APIs and backend services to ensure reliable data exchange and seamless claims processing.

Responsibilities:

• Actively shaping and contributing to architectural decisions.
• Collaborating with Business Analysts and fellow Developers to implement robust backend services.
• Designing and developing high-performance API backend services using cutting-edge technologies, ensuring fast and efficient solutions.
• Solving complex technical challenges by performing in-depth root cause analysis and resolving issues in production environments.
• Overseeing pull requests and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Mentoring team members on best practices.
• Upholding high standards of code quality and excellence.
• Cultivating a culture of collaboration and continuous learning within the team.
• Advocating for initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, security, and performance of the systems.
• Acting as an end-to-end owner, participating in many aspects of the software (design, build, delivery).

Must-haves:

• Experience in building large-scale applications in complex technical landscapes for 5+ years.
• Strong leadership experience.
• Expertise in .NET Core and ASP.NET Core for building scalable and high-performance applications.
• Strong experience with C# for backend development.
• Strong experience with backend API development and understanding the entire API development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in OpenAPI specs and Swagger.
• Expertise in building scalable cloud applications, particularly in Azure (Azure Development, TableStorage, AppServices, PaaS, APIM, ApplicationInsights).
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code for development and debugging.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including using CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jira.
• Strong ability to collaborate with highly distributed teams.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice-to-haves:

• Microsoft Azure certifications.
