Middle Java Developer

Elinext (alliance of companies with offices in different countries) is an IT consulting company that have been delivering software development services on time and budget since 1997.

We are searching for a Middle Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the development of a distributed infrastructure monitoring system. In this role, you will work with large volumes of data in an event-driven environment, building reliable and scalable backend services for a customer based in the USA.

Tech Stack:

- Backend: Java Core, Spring Framework;
- Data & Messaging: SQL (PostgreSQL / MySQL), Kafka;
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Linux, Cloud VMs;
- CI/CD & Tools: Git, Jenkins;
- Testing: JUnit, Mockito.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem;
• Build and enhance distributed microservices communicating via Kafka;
• Work with event-driven architectures and large-scale data processing;
• Deploy, maintain, and support services in Kubernetes-based cloud environments;
• Take ownership of features throughout the full development lifecycle: implementation, testing, deployment, and support;
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues in distributed systems;
• Collaborate closely with the team to deliver stable, efficient, and scalable solutions,

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Java;
• Strong knowledge of Java Core and the Spring Framework;
• Experience with or strong understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures;
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems;
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases;
• Good understanding of Linux and containerized environments;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in distributed systems;
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks;

• English language at Intermediate+ level is a must.

Nice to have:

• Basic understanding of asynchronous and non-blocking processing;
• Experience with WebClient or similar reactive tools;
• Familiarity with Kubernetes in production environments.
