Project Description:

Our client produces a software as a service (SaaS) platform that automates the clinical trial process for lifesaving drugs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work hours in Eastern Time Zone – 8am-4pm EST/EDT to overlap with colleagues in the US and Canada
• Build, maintain, and support all environments which host the Platform
• Monitor environments for issues, configuring and building alerting/self-healing of issues
• Update and maintain documentation and architectural diagrams
• Work with developers and testers to troubleshoot application/platform issues
• Be curious and like learning new technologies
• Mentor other SREs and transfer knowledge
• Architect new solutions as we migrate to a microservice driven architecture
• Represent the SRE team during Development architecture meetings to voice SRE concerns

Required Skills:

• Effective communication in English (both oral and written) is a must have
• Higher education
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE capacity

• Kubernetes and Service mesh management
• Windows and Linux administration
• Cloud service provider experience (GCP, Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud)
• Basic Oracle, MS SQL Server, or other relational database administration
• Couchbase
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
• Configuration management (Jenkins, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Istio)
• .NET application management
• Windows/IIS
• Ability to be creative as well as analytical, organized and detail oriented when problem-solving
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, project management and people skills
• Natural curiosity and self-motivation to learn and keep current on technical skills
• High energy level combined with good organization and multi-tasking skills necessary to achieve a changing mix of short, medium, and long-term objectives
